Creating a new customer manually
You can create customer in two ways, the first via a bulk import and the second, manually, one by one. When creating a new customer or account Autovolt allows you to capture all types of information including your customers accounts team contacts, director details and company data like VAT number and Company ID code, but not all of this information is required.
You will always need to register a ‘Requester’ and a ‘Depot’ against a customer, this will allow you to accurately report on who, within a customer organisation requested an order and where the order was for (useful for customer companies with multiple sites) If you are using the Xero connector, your accounts email must be unique, this is how xero will decide whether or not to create a new contact.
